You are invited to attend Agency Site Visits. This is your opportunity to learn more about the agencies that are currently funded through the Agency Review funding process.
TCC staff schedules these site visits on a rotating basis once every three years for each program. The purpose is to strengthen our partnership and to track the use of municipal funds, assuring that each particular grantee is in compliance with the goals and objectives of each grant.
You will be offered the opportunity to ask questions and to provide feedback to staff after the visit.
For TCAA Site Visit: Begin at 8:15 AM in the lobby of the North Tempe Multigen Center (1555 N Bridalwreath St, Tempe, AZ 85288) Introductions and high-level description of TCAA Observation of the Meals on Wheels preparations. Drive to the Escalante Community Garden located on the North end of Escalante Park (Southeast of University and River Dr) Discussion on Community Garden, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, East Valley Senior Home Sharing, and Health Start Early Childhood Devel program Drive to the Esquer and Ramsey Center at 2146 E. Apache Discussion on Food Systems programming, Community Action Program, and Economic Mobility Programming The tour can conclude between 10-10:30 AM, depending on duration of Q&A.
TCC is responsible for monitoring awards and providing reasonable assurance that grantees are:
- Doing what was proposed and approved
- Meeting programmatic, administrative, fiscal requirements
- Remaining consistent with the plan for programs/projects
- Identifying and resolving problems/issues
- Receiving needed technical assistance
The
goals of grant monitoring are to:
- Provide accountability and oversight
- Ensure proper spending
- Visit programs that may need assistance
- Measure grantee performance
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Identify program strengths
- Serve the needs of the grantees
