If you are interested in serving as a tax preparer or quality reviewer you will need to become IRS-certified.
The Tempe tax site is offering a series of training sessions (see schedule below) which run consecutively through the tax certification process. Please sign up to attend this training series if you have not already obtained from another training source.
Certification must be obtained prior to preparing taxes or be a quality reviewer for the 2025 tax season.
Prior to taking this training, you must create an account to be registered through the VITA/TCE Central website. All site volunteers need to at least complete the Volunteer Standards of Conduct and become certified via the VITA/TCE Central website.
Training materials are available online via the VITA/TCE Central website. Printed versions of the training materials can also be obtained from our office located in the Governor BB Moeur Historical Residence, 34 E 7th Street, Tempe.
